Henningsen Cold Storage was recognized, at both of its Portland, OR facilities, by the OSHA On-Site Consultation Program’s Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) for continuing to exceed injury and illness prevention standards. Both facilities have maintained a DART (Days Away, Restricted, or Transferred) rate below the national average within the transportation and warehousing industry, as well as continue to show a commitment to safety and health across all levels of associates, including corporate level management.
“The team at Henningsen Cold Storage believes the Oregon OSHA SHARP program is important because it provides a nationally recognized and supported structure that showcases Henningsen’s commitment to the safety of our associates and to the community in which we operate,” explained James Denmark, General Manager of the Portland East facility. “Henningsen knows by partnering with Oregon OSHA and the SHARP program we not only exceed the national standards for safety, we also stand out from our competitors as a best in class workplace for our associates and a secure facility for our customers.”
Henningsen Cold Storage is the sixth company in Oregon, within the transportation and warehousing industries, to have graduated from the OSHA SHARP program. Henningsen also has SHARP Certified facilities in Forest Grove, OR Twin Falls, ID, Grand Forks, ND, and Scranton, PA. Henningsen’s Richland, WA facility is a WISHA certified Safety Through Achieving Recognition Together (START) facility.
