Our Huntington, Charleston, Kenova, WV client – Allied Logistics Announces Leadership Changes Positioning For The Future

As 2014 comes to a close, the Allied leadership team has had a keen eye on our future and the opportunities we have to accelerate our offerings and strengthen our performance and service to our customers. With that, we are announcing leadership changes that we strongly believe will position us to better serve you.

Our longtime employee and Allied ambassadorEd Canterbury,Vice President, Allied Transportation, has announced a well-deserved retirement.  Ed joined Allied Logistics in 1982 and has been a driving force in the evolution of our company and our commitment to client service.  We are stronger today because of Ed’s service and wish him the very best.

In concert with Ed’s retirement, we are pleased to announce the following organizational changes, effective immediately:

Michael J. Carroll has been named President, West Virginia Operations. With more than 40 years of industry experience, 30 of those with Allied, we are confident Mike will leverage his deep understanding of our business in his new leadership role. Mike will be responsible for our warehouse assets in Huntington, Charleston, Kenova and Parkersburg, West Virginia; transportation services throughout West Virginia and parts of Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Tennessee; as well as chemical blending, screening, and packaging services in West Virginia.

Carl Vance has been promoted to Vice President, West Virginia Operations. With nearly three decades’ experience in the transportation and logistics industry, Carl will draw upon his deep roots in transportation services and operations to lead our focus on providing exceptional and innovative customer solutions.

Matt Stephens has been promoted to Director of Operations for Allied Transportation and will oversee business operations throughout West Virginia and parts of Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. He brings more than 15 years of freight operations experience, and nearly 23 years with the company to this role. Matt will ensure Allied Transportation delivers quality services to clients by providing customized, reliable truckload and less-than-truckload carrier services as well as logistics programs
