Affiliated Warehouse Companies, Inc. works with Belts Logistics Services, which is widely considered to be of the top public and contract warehouse companies in the Baltimore area. Established 1845, Belts operates over 600,000 sq. ft. across three company-owned warehouses – two in Baltimore City and one in the town of Elkridge, Maryland.

Their city warehouses are strategically located close to the Port of Baltimore, which makes them ideal for import/export sea containers, while their Elkridge clients benefit greatly from its location mid-way along the Baltimore-Washington Corridor.

Historically specializing in warehousing products such as beverage alcohol (spirits, wine and beer), food products, and high value merchandise, over the years Belts has also handled footwear, apparel, retail and seasonal merchandise, appliances, automotive parts, building materials, and many others. Belts even offers air conditioned space and Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) services. Additionally, Belts offers an e-commerce fulfillment system that’s capable of shipping high-volume B2C and B2B orders. They also provide, and are specialists in, value-added packaging (VAP) and kitting.

All of Belts’ warehouses have excellent fire and theft security systems, including surveillance cameras, and all of their warehouses are managed via their state-of-the-art warehouse management system (WMS) “Accellos,” by HighJump, which provides them with real-time RF bar coding based inventory information, all of which is available to Belts customers via their front-end, “Evista” customer web portal.

Belts ships to major grocery chains including Costco, Sam’s, BJ’s, Walmart, Target, Trader Joe’s, Giant, and Whole Foods, etc., which is why all of their warehouses are registered FDA Food Grade. Additionally, one warehouse is rated “AA” by the British Retail Consortium (BRC), a portion of another one is rated “Superior” by the American Institute of Baking (AIB), and a third facility contains areas that are rated “compliant” for storage of organic foods and products.

To round out its distribution services, Belts has its own, asset-based intermodal delivery and drayage services company, along with a trucking brokerage company that can meet any and all of the additional transportation requirements its customers may have.
