Foreign Trade Zone

Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ) are areas often including public or contract warehouses where products are treated as being outside the commerce of the U.S.A. by the United States Federal Government. Products can be assembled or remanufactured, warehoused and processed within the FTZ without incurring import duties. An importer can also export from a FTZ without paying duties. Duties are paid; however, when the products are moved from the FTZ for sale in the U.S.A. it is important to note that the changes made to the product often result in lower duties. Many of our clients offer Foreign Trade Zone services and if you have any questions or want rates for using a Foreign Trade Zone please contact us.
